Do it or Dump it
Maria helps others complete goals and projects - large and small. Is it time to take back your integrity?
What Is Integrity Day?
Integrity Day is a day collaborate way to get things done! You join others (at the top the hour) and complete tasks on your To Do List. It could be a big task or goal that you break down into small doable pieces or it could be a bunch of smaller projects.
It's your choice! It's your integrity! Some projects that I've seen completed include:
monthly book keeping
writing "that article"
updating web sites
cleaning a room, file or garage
unpacking
gardening
your personal or business goal here ____
Integrity Day was created by Thomas Leonard, the original champion of the life and business coaching profession.
I had the honor of working for Thomas for 3 years until he died, at age 47, in 2003.
He worked on what seemed like a million projects at one time and Integrity Day was a day he created to get caught up - with the assistance of others, too.
Integrity Day - Stop Procrastination Day - Do It, Delegate It, Dump It Day - whatever you call it - it's the time you put aside to complete things you've been putting off or start things you know you want to do... except you haven't started "it" yet.
What do you do before and during Integrity Day?
Before Integrity Day
- Tell your family, friends, etc. to not interrupt you during Integrity Day.
- Purchase meals, water, soda or whatever supplies you'll require.
- Determine what you want to complete
- Create a tolerations list. If you're not sure what that is, email me.
On Integrity Day
- Turn your answer machine on and your computer off (unless you need it to complete the day's goals.
- Each person will share about 3 minutes each.
- You'll help others who request assistance.
- Complete whatever you have that you've been tolerating, thinking about, driving you nuts, etc.
- Finish a big project or a bunch of smaller ones. Your choice.
At the times below, call into a special (long distance) phone number
- Noon EST (9am PST)- introduce yourself (name, country, business, web site) and state what you will be starting or completing within the next hour. If you would like assistance or suggestions from the group, please ask for it. However, keep focused on what you're accomplishing during the next hour (vs. all day)
- 1pm, 2pm EST - (10am, 11am PST) - call into the group and update us on where you stand, and what's next. If you're stuck or overwhelmed, ask for assistance or suggestions from the group or me. You can use our e-list to do this, or ask during the call. Do your best to keep comments on the calls to a minimum.
- 3pm EST - (12pm PST) - Final call. Let's take a look at what "wins" you had during the day, what "just occurred" that you didn't expect, how the day went, etc.
All this may sound corny, however it really does work!
Special Information
- The number you call is located in the USA. This call will cost you your usual long distance phone costs. If you are located outside the USA, please find out before the call what international numbers you need to dial before the USA phone number. Also, if at first you dial and don't get through... try again.
- The calls will start on time and no later than 1 minute after the "hour". To make sure all our clocks are set on the same time visit www.timeanddate.com
- Please be on time. Each time a person comes into the call, there is a dead noise and a click. Whoever was speaking, will not be heard.
- Do not use a cell phone or speaker phone on the call. It does very weird things to the call - clicks, interference, strange noises and echoes.
- If you would like additional assistance before "the day" send a message to the special electronic mailing list I've provided for each group.
- If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me.
- Please do not audiotape the call. I will not be taping it either.
- I prefer that you don't use mute buttons during the calls. I like spontaneity! However, if there are other people or animals around during the call time, please use your mute button. It is amazing how the call makes even a little noise (like shuffling papers) sound really loud!
